Coming from a family woodworking tradition dating back to 1850, German Master Cabinetmaker, Gunter Mook, began a wallbed company in Canada in 1982.

Superior Wallbeds uses environmentally safe products, such as Waterborne-Aqualante-Precatalyzed Lacquer. We have a fully-equipped Cabinet Shop, where we build all types of custom-design beds and cabinets.

We offer in-home measuring and consulting and design and custom-made beds and cabinets to fit the floor plan of your room.

Why 3mm PVC Edging?

3mm PVC edging will not peel off. The 3mm edge banding is applied with a dedicated edgebander (Holz Her, German made) using VERY hot adhesive (heated to 190ﾰ Fahrenheit). The result is an extremely strong bond. While 3mm edge banding is more expensive than the commonly used edge banding, its durability surpasses the thinner material by leaps and bounds.

The combination of the impact resistance of the 3mm material and the impenetrable glue bond to the wood panel virtually eliminates the chance for chipping or damage to the edges. The life of your Murphy Bed and cabinets is thereby extended by years.
